Art
I studied art at Sunderland Polytechnic (now the University of Sunderland) and my work reflects my passion for the landscape and history that surrounds me. Colour and form are of primary importance; landscapes are simple and ask the observer to feel the land; seascapes are busy, bursting with life and history.
Many of my images are related directly to my childhood memories of people and places, others are more inspired by recent events whilst raising my own family in the region. A selection of my work can be viewed in the Gallery section of this site. If you would like to purchase prints of my work, or gifts based on my artwork, then you can do so here.
As well as displaying his works in numerous commercial outlets around Northumberland, I’ve held larger exhibitions at Wallington Hall (National Trust) and Pebbles Gallery in Allendale. For more details please click here.
I continue to paint and compose works that reflect my passion for the environment and its history and am currently working on a project that relates to people and places along Hadrian’s Wall.
If you would like to commission artwork, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
