Now you’ve got me started!

In recent months much of my work has had a political theme, not linked particularly to straightforward party politics, but rather referencing the divisions so apparent in our society, the great injustices of austerity, the growing divide between the rich and the poor and to a lesser extent, Brexit.

Of course, in the political context of the moment, almost all of these more outspoken pieces have been taken to be directly about Brexit, and indeed it is most certainly referenced. However, I view Brexit as a symptom of the overall problems within society, not the cause. In the Art Of No Deal found on this site in the video section, I borrowed the language of Brexit, but the piece is about far more. We vote in a day or so and I realise that Brexit only ranks number eight in my list of voting priorities. I feel that our priorities have become distorted and that we have been wilfully distracted. I beg you all, please don’t lose sight of the bigger picture.
